Frequently Asked Questions
The things homeowners ask us most often, answered plainly.
In most kitchens, yes. Cabinet boxes are usually plywood or particle board carcasses that outlast their doors by decades. If the boxes are solid, square and dry, new doors are all you need. We check this at the free measure and will tell you honestly if your kitchen is one of the few that genuinely needs replacing.
Replacing kitchen doors and fronts typically costs one-third to one-half the price of a full kitchen replacement. You save because you don’t need new cabinet boxes, countertops, plumbing, or the labour required to remove and rebuild the entire kitchen. In the Lower Mainland, a typical kitchen door replacement costs $2,400–$4,500, depending on the number of doors and drawers and the finish you choose.
Most kitchen doors and panels can be installed in 1–2 days. Smaller galley kitchens can often be completed in just one day. Larger kitchens, especially those with an island or requiring cabinet refacing, may take 2–3 days. Your new doors and panels are prepared and ready before our installation team arrives, making the installation process fast, clean, and convenient—with minimal disruption to your home.
